Paulo Guilherme Molin

PhD in Forest Resources from Esalq/USP. MSc in Geospatial Technologies through the Erasmus Mundus program at the University of Muenster (Germany), Nova University Lisbon (Portugal), and Jaume I University (Spain). Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management from ESALQ/USP. He is the coordinator of the Center for Research and Extension in Geotechnologies (CePE-Geo), a board member of the Atlantic Forest Restoration Pact, and the Remote Sensing coordinator for the Brazilian Team, finalists in the XPrize Rainforest challenge. He is the Lead Researcher for the FAPESP project CCD Atlantic Forest Strategy (2021/11940-0) and Principal Investigator for the FAPESP thematic project NewFor (2018/18416-2), as well as an associate researcher in six other FAPESP and CNPq projects. His work focuses on Planning and Monitoring Forest and Ecological Restorations, with applications of geotechnologies such as modeling, GIS, remote sensing, and GNSS (GPS). His research is applied to mitigate problems caused by climate change, quantify ecosystem services, and assess impacts on people and nature, creating spatially explicit scenarios and models.
