Waldir Cintra de Jesus Junior

He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (FCA/UNESP) (1995) and a master's and doctorate in Phytopathology from the Federal University of Viçosa (2001). He completed part of his doctorate at the Institut für Pflanzenkrankheiten und Pflanzenschutz and University of Hannover (Germany) (1999 to 2000). Post-doctorate at ESALQ/USP (2001 to 2003). Full Professor at the Natural Sciences Center at the Federal University of São Carlos (CCN/UFSCar). Accredited professor with the Postgraduate Programs in Planning and Use of Renewable Resources (PPGPUR/UFSCar) and Plant Protection (FCA/UNESP Botucatu). Secretary of the São Paulo Phytopathology Association (since 2015). He has experience in the area of ​​Agricultural Engineering and Forestry Engineering, with an emphasis on Phytopathology and Forest Pathology, working mainly on the topics of epidemiology, the impact of climate change on plant diseases and integrated management of plant diseases.
