Alexandre Camargo Martensen
Bionote: Holds a Bachelor's and a Teaching degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2001), a Master's degree in Ecology of Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecosystems (2008) from the same institution, and a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolution from the University of Toronto, Canada (2017). He completed his postdoctoral research (PNPD) in the Graduate Program in Genetics, Conservation, and Evolutionary Biology at the National Institute of Amazonian Research (GCBEv/INPA). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor (Adjunct C II) at the Center for Natural Sciences at the Federal University of São Carlos, where he contributes to three graduate programs: Environmental Sciences (PPGCAm), Conservation and Sustainability (PPGCS), and Wildlife Conservation (PPGCFau). His expertise lies in Ecology, particularly in Landscape Ecology and Spatial Ecology, focusing on the intersection of Landscape Ecology and Conservation Biology. He employs modeling tools to develop strategies that balance social development with environmental conservation. Additionally, he has extensive experience in environmental consulting, particularly in planning, environmental impact assessment, and monitoring.
